Yesterday The EU Political and Security Committee Ambassadors fully supported the work of the EU presences on the ground (EULEX and EUSR), including the technical arrangements with Belgrade. EU claimed that this is a crucial element in fighting organised crime and will be to the benefit of all the people in Kosovo. However one day after the suggestion of the EU for the continuation of consultation about this issue President of the Republic of Kosovo came out with a statement saying that Kosovo continues with its firm position.
“We have expressed our position. We will continue to cooperate with EULEX for the best of Kosovo however our position towards that document is very clear. We have closed the discussion about that and we gave our final word”, President Sejdiu told reporters today in Prishtina.
