June 28 (Kosovo Times) - The Kosovo Police has issued a statement today informing that around 2000 pilgrims have commemorated today the 620 anniversary of the medieval battle of Kosovo also known as the religious holiday “Vidovdan”. The Kosovo Police has provided security for all pilgrims and the official delegation from the Republic of Serbia which was granted permition to attend the ceremony. The Kosovo Police also informs that nine pilgrims were denied entry into Kosovo because they were wearing T-Shirts with provocative slogans in contradiction with the Constitutional Order in Kosovo. The ceremony today in Gazimestan was peaceful while the Serbian Ministers were cautious in their statements by giving messages of peace. Both the Gazimestan commemoration, and the one earlier in the day in the monastery of Gračanica were attended by Serb government ministers Bogoljub Šijaković, Goran Bogdanović and Nebojša Bradić, and Crown Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević and his wife Katarina.
