July 7 (Kosovo Times) - The Kosovo Arab Chamber for Friendship and Cooperation has issued a statement reacting to the visit of the President Abbas of Palestine. The Kosovo Arab Chamber says in its statement that it “reacts with deep concern on the visit, statements and the follow up of the visit of President Abbas in Belgrade regarding the alleged implications with Kosovo and Kosovo’s continuous efforts to strengthen its statehood”.
The statement further says that the Kosovo Arab Chamber is “deeply shocked with the the revealing that the visit of Abbas comes after “the engagement of Palestinian authorities in favor of Serbia in outlining the Kosovo question to Islamic and Arab countries and now expecting from Serbia to be more active in support of various political efforts, which depend chiefly on possible bilateral Israeli-Palestinian dialogue and agreement”.
The Kosovo Arab Chamber says that “if these allegations are true they represent a complete political fiasco, a complete disgrace and moral failure by the side of the Palestinian authority which should be widely condemned both by other Arab countries and also by the Western countries, allies of Kosovo, which are actively engaged in favor of a two state solution for the Israeli - Palestinian conflict”.
