EULEX announces return of Albanian and Serb judges in northern Kosovo
July 20 - EULEX officials stated that they are intensively working with Prishtina and Belgrade for the return of Albanian and Serb judges at Mitrivica district court. EULEX justice spokesperson Kristiina Herodes could not specify when it would happen but noted that there are ongoing talks with Prishtina and Belgrade. Municipal and district court in Mitrovica district court in the north started to operate again in October 2008, after it was closed down after independence, while currently there are only EULEX judges and prosecutors working at the court. Local media reported that an EULEX delegation will travel to Belgrade soon to continue talks with Belgrade on the matter.
